Chase and I met on a dating app, both frustrated with dating when it seemed like everyone around us had already been blessed and happily married. This was after, of course, we had already matched on that same dating app a year before and let the connection fizzle out before ever meeting. I always remembered Chase as the one from the dating apps that got away. And he wasn’t easy to forget… especially because his volleyball team started playing on the court next to mine every week at the same time my team’s games were scheduled. I saw him every week at volleyball for about a year; several times I had tried to build the courage to go say “hello, remember me?” But thankfully God had other plans. We ended up rematching a year after our first hopeful but short-lived online encounter and everything just clicked. It was so obvious to us that God was waiting until the right moment to bring us together.

Since then, we have been so blessed to make so many memories together. We share our most important values, goals and interests, and both have wonderful families that love and support us.

We’re deeply grateful for how clearly God’s timing was at work in the beginning of our story. Looking back, it’s undeniable that He brought us together at just the right moment — not a day (or year) too soon or too late. His faithfulness has been evident from the very start, and we continue to trust Him as we begin this new chapter together.
