Children and plus ones are allowed by invitation only and will be clearly stated on your invitation. Childcare will not be provided.

Spring will be in full swing! Expect mild temperatures with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and cooler mornings and evenings in the 40s or 50s. It’s the perfect season for patio weather, blooming flowers, and light layers so pack a light jacket and an umbrella just in case!

The dress code is spring inspired cocktail attire.

The ceremony and reception will both be held in the Picasso Room of the Mellwood Art Center at 1860 Mellwood Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40206.

Yes, there is a free parking lot on site for all guests across the street from the venue. See below map for reference.

There will be signs directing guests towards the den Boer-Darst wedding in the Picasso Room. See map above for reference.

Doors will be open at 5:00pm to allow for our ceremony to begin promptly at 5:30pm. We appreciate that guests may face Friday night traffic, please plan to arrive to the venue by 5:20pm to allow time for parking and a short 5 minute walk through the Art Center to the Picasso Room.

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. Guests will walk through concrete/paved pathways for the entirety of the event. Guests will be able to enjoy the fresh air of a crisp spring evening on a covered balcony, weather permitting.

We have 3 room blocks available, refer to the "Travel" tab on the wedding website.

If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block.

The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) is the closest airport. Hotels will be easily accessible from SDF via taxi or ride share.

While we are not having an unplugged ceremony, we ask that you respect our fellow guests and photographer by not standing to take photos or extending your arms into the aisles. We are hiring a professional to capture our special day, but if you do take photos, we would be so grateful if you could share them with us afterward. As for the reception, please take as many photos and videos as you like, share and tag us in everything!

Guests with serious dietary restrictions or allergies are kindly asked to inform us in advance. Please note that, while the venue will take precautions, we cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment.
